Resilience in Real Life | July 2025: An Invitation to Reclaim Your Energy (Gently)
July 2, 2025And How to Bounce Back
Hey beautiful souls,
Let’s talk about something many of us don’t say out loud enough: why sensitives get so tired. Seriously, this kind of exhaustion isn’t just about needing more sleep—it’s energetic, emotional, spiritual. And if you’re walking a spiritual path, this kind of fatigue can feel like a detour. But don’t worry—we’re going to explore why this happens and how to recharge so you can keep moving forward with more ease.
Know Thyself: The Sensitive Wiring
Here’s the truth: we’re wired differently. Roughly 20% of the population identifies as highly sensitive, and we process the world more deeply. That means lights, sounds, crowds, even smells—things others barely notice—can send us into energetic overload.
Ever walked into a grocery store and immediately thought, “Nope. I can’t do this today”? Yeah. That’s not random. It’s the fluorescent lighting, the constant hum of conversation, the music, the smell of bleach in aisle three, the crying toddler—or all of it, all at once.
Take a breath with me.
Inhale deeply. Exhale completely.
You’re not broken. Your system is just finely tuned—and sometimes, it needs a reset.
Energy Sponge: Soaking Up What’s Not Ours
On top of everything, we’re emotional sponges. We don’t just sense emotions—we absorb them. One intense conversation or an energetically charged space can leave us feeling like we’ve run a marathon.
Even after all my years doing this work, I still find myself caught off guard. Some energies hit harder than others—and it’s okay. That’s part of being sensitive. The key is learning how to release what isn’t ours.
Self-Care Isn’t Optional (It’s Survival)
This is where your spiritual toolbox comes in. Think of self-care as sacred. It’s not pampering—it’s protection.
For me? A nightly bath is non-negotiable. I’ll throw in some Epsom or Himalayan salts, maybe a few drops of lavender or frankincense essential oil. It’s not just a bath—it’s a ritual, a cleansing, a homecoming to myself.
You might find your grounding in nature. Here in Palm Harbor, we’ve got some gorgeous parks and waterfronts—and I make it a point to escape to them often. Whether it’s ocean, lake, or forest, nature clears the noise and brings me back into alignment.

Boundaries Are Sacred (Not Mean)
Ever wish you had an energetic force field? Boundaries are exactly that. Setting them doesn’t make you difficult—it makes you well.
I’ve got a whole post on this that I think will really help. Mastering Boundaries is where you’ll learn how to stop leaking your energy and start honoring your space.
Crystal Allies: Vibe Protection on a Whole New Level
You know I love a good crystal. Amethyst, rose quartz, and black tourmaline are three of my go-tos for energy protection and upliftment. They don’t just sit there looking pretty—they help anchor your energy and raise your vibration so that other people’s stuff rolls off instead of sticking to you.
Even if you’re not fully sold on crystals, just try carrying one in your pocket or wearing it as jewelry. You might be surprised what shifts.
Holistic Healing Vibes: Ask for Support
Reiki is one of my favorite ways to reset. Whether you receive it from a practitioner or channel it for yourself (if you’re attuned), it reconnects you with Divine energy and restores balance on a deep level.
Every time I receive Reiki from another practitioner, I gain new insight—new energy. If you’ve been feeling stuck or drained, don’t hesitate to reach out for support. You don’t have to do this alone.
Remember Your Why
I know—it’s not always fun being sensitive. It can feel like too much. But when you find your rhythm, when you feel balanced and clear, that sensitivity becomes a gift. It becomes your superpower.
You were made to feel deeply.
You were made to bring light into the world in your own unique way.
