Hey beautiful souls! Michele here, from The Violet Butterfly Metaphysical Healing Center. Today, we’re diving into why us sensitives get so darn tired and, more importantly, how to bounce back and stay on our spiritual journey. Ready? Let’s check it out.
Know Thyself
First things first, we sensitives need to be in tune with our inner selves. Our unique way of experiencing the world can be wonderfully enlightening, but it can also zap our energy. You get that, right?
Energy Sponge
So, here’s the deal – we’re like emotional sponges. We soak up the vibes around us, which can be seriously tiring. If you think you are alone in this – you aren’t. No matter how long I’ve known I was sensitive, I still get surprised in situations where someone can overwhelm my energetic system. This translates into a very physical sense of exhaustion.
Self-Care Rocks
Let’s talk about self-care. It’s like our superhero suit. Meditation, grounding, and some good old energy cleansing – these are our secret weapons. I like to take a warm bath every single night. Sometimes it’s with Himalayan salt or Epsom salts, sometimes I add essential oils. My bath is a daily ritual that I take seriously to help me cleanse and relax before it’s bedtime.
You might also find that you need some nature breaks – think of it as a time out from the world. Close to where I live, we have a number of beautiful parks, some on the Gulf of Mexico, some on lakes – all of them help me regain my balance and start fresh. Boundaries Are Our Friends

Crystal Magic
You know we’re fans of pretty crystals, right? Amethyst, rose quartz, and black tourmaline can be like our crystal buddies. Not only can each of these help to protect and ground you, but they can also influence your vibration – lifting it up – so other vibrations stay away. Even if you don’t believe in the science of crystals, give them a try – you might be surprised at the way they work.
Holistic Healing Vibes
Getting a Reiki session from someone you trust can be a great way to find your balance. If you are Reiki attuned, you already have a direct line to Divine energy and have the ability to bring yourself into balance. It always amazes me when I work with other Reiki practitioners – their insights, experience, and guidance are unique and helpful and can give me new and sometimes needed perspectives. Don’t be afraid to ask others for help.
Finding Your Why
Our sensitivity is a gift, even if it feels like a handful sometimes. From personal experience, I can tell you – it isn’t always fun and rewarding to be sensitive, but when you find the sweet spot where you are balanced and can help others, you can feel like a superhero.
