What are you doing for your Self-Care?

Oh No! I’m Blocked!
May 8, 2022Conversations with Michele
You know what it’s like to have so many choices that you don’t know where to start? Sometimes it happens to me in a restaurant with an extensive menu or when deciding on vacation locations and activities.
I was chatting with a customer this past week, and we talked about how we have so many things to do that sometimes it’s difficult to figure out what is the priority. I told her to put everything on a list and what needs to get done will bubble up to the top. The rest of the items either stay on the list for you to complete or you eventually decide they weren’t that important to begin with. As a recovering perfectionist, it can be difficult to realize that you don’t have to do everything all the time. My customer found this resonated with her and decided to use it.
I’ve realized that these individual conversations with people are important not only for me and the person I’m speaking with, but also for our community. While I won’t share personal information, I will share the nuggets of wisdom that I feel are important for others to hear. I hope these insights help you find ease if you are struggling, joy from understanding you aren’t alone, and maybe give us all some tools to work with.
These conversations won’t all be about struggles – I hope some will be filled with humor.
Until next time….. Michele
